In short: use is free and needs no account. The calculators are an information service, not legal advice. During the preview the figures shown are researched from primary sources but not yet signed off — do not use them as the basis of a legal decision.

Scope

These terms govern use of this website and of the calculators and tables on it. No contract for a service is concluded: the service is free, requires no registration and asks for no payment. There is no entitlement to continuous availability; operation may be changed, restricted or discontinued at any time.

Deadlines run independently of this website

The most important limitation first: the deadlines to object and to pay run from the event the law specifies — not from the moment you happen to read something here. The deadline calculator shows a calculation based on the dates you enter. It is expressly not a deadline-monitoring service, not a reminder, and not an assurance. What governs is your own notice and the statutory provisions. Never rely on a website for a running deadline — including this one.

Not legal advice, and no representation

The calculators and explanations apply published tables, deadlines and provisions uniformly. They do not examine your individual case, do not know your file, and do not replace advice from a lawyer. No legal service within the meaning of § 2 of the German Legal Services Act is provided, nobody is represented, and no referral to third parties takes place: this website contains no enquiry or referral forms and no advertising for legal service providers.

What the calculators do — and do not do

• They show the standard case under the published tables. Authorities and courts may depart from it on the facts; prior entries, multiple offences, particular hardship and the licensing authority all play a part that no form can fully capture.
• In the criminal tier no amount is calculated, deliberately: the penalty is a fine in daily units whose number and value the court sets from net income, case by case. A calculator that names a sum there is inventing it.
• For speed measurement no tolerance is deducted. The bands apply to the value charged, and German federal law states no tolerance figure — the note explaining that sits on the speeding page.
• For points the result depends entirely on the entries you type in. Only the official extract from the driver register is binding.

The state of the data during the preview

This website is in a preview phase. Every amount, point value and deadline shown is researched from a primary source and carries its reference, but has not yet been signed off by the reviewer. The banner at the top of every page makes that state visible and is only removed on sign-off. Until then: for a legal decision, only the official versions of the provisions and your own notice govern.

Liability

No warranty is given, so far as legally permissible, for the accuracy, completeness or currency of the content. Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence; statutory liability for injury to life, body or health and for breach of essential obligations remains unaffected. So far as legally permissible, no liability is accepted for loss arising because a figure shown here was made the basis of a decision — in particular not for missed deadlines.

Where this site links to statutory texts or other external pages, the respective providers are responsible for their content. No unlawful content was apparent at the time of linking; links will be removed promptly if infringements become known.

The design, the texts and the source code of this website are protected by copyright. Statutes and official works are not, under § 5 of the German Copyright Act; for their wording please refer to the official sources. Reuse of this site's own content beyond what the law permits requires consent.

Changes and applicable law

These terms may be amended; the version published on this page is the one that applies. German law applies. Should a provision be invalid, the remainder is unaffected.
